Betternotstop is looking for two marketing and social media assistants to work with the Marketing Manager to grow the businesses online community and presence.


Your primary role will be to support the Marketing Manager with creating and implementing social media and marketing campaigns across all platforms. You will also be responsible for growing and engaging our community, supporting the marketing team in creating our online content and events and collaborating with other businesses and influencers.


You will learn new skills in digital marketing, developing them over the six months by putting them into practice. We are more interested in candidates that are willing to learn a new skill then your previous work experience. We will help you learn about how to grow and engage communities, SEO, blogging and content creation.

We have a Manchester City Centre office but also provide remote and flexible working opportunities. Computers will be provided by the company.

How the employer will support your employability skills

We will help you learn how to use online tools such as Trello, Slack and Google Documents as well as supporting Project management.


We will also teach you about Search Engine Optimisation and Keyword research for blog posting and websites which is a transferable skill that can be used across any industry.


We will also show you how to plan, design, create, schedule and engage on social media platforms using Canva and Social Media Scheduling tools. You will learn this for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Youtube as well as learning about email marketing, segmentation and lead generation.


We will also introduce them to learning about sustainable frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, B Corp Certification and Carbon Literacy. These skills will make them able to understand the sustainable economy better, which is believed to be work £12 trillion.


Our aim is to have the ability to offer placements a full time role within the company once the placement is over.
